Inner Forth Photography Contest Launches for 2026!

We are delighted to announce the Inner Forth Photography Contest is returning for 2026!

This year, we are asking everyone who enjoys getting snap-happy to send us their pictures. It doesn't matter if it's taken on a mobile phone or a camera - it's all about capturing the HIDDEN GEMS and lesser-known heritage of the Inner Forth.

Entries can be submitted any time between 1st May and 30th June 2026. You can submit your entry by CLICKING HERE!

Heritage comes in many forms, and we are open to your interpretation of it. Some examples include:

  • Built – Buildings, bridges, ruins.
  • Historic - Places, features, or objects linked to the area’s history.
  • Natural – Landscapes, nature, wildlife.
  • Cultural – Crafts, traditions, community practices.
We will ask for a short explanation of your chosen heritage and why it is important to you. This will be taken into account during judging. Please do not enter well‑known heritage (e.g. Stirling Castle, Kelpies, the Forth ridges). This competition is about the hidden heritage that makes the Inner Forth unique, and we can’t wait to see what you uncover.

Photographs must be taken within the Inner Forth (Stirling, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and West Fife). To view the exact area boundary, see the map on our website.

Judging will take place in July with our wonderful local guest judges Brian Vass and Michael Westcott. There are three prize categories and the top 15 photographs will be also displayed in a temporary art exhibition in autumn.

  • 15 top photographs: £30 voucher for Black Squirrel Clothing.
  • 3 runners-up: £75 voucher for Nooch Bar and Kitchen.
  • 1 overall winner: £150 voucher for Wex.
