Linking Stirling’s Eastern Villages (Fallin & Throsk)

The communities of Fallin and Throsk will benefit most from this project. This project aims to provide a pleasant off road path that allows people to avoid walking along the side of the busy A905. It will also benefit the Fallin Healthy Village and the Stirling Walking Network projects by providing an accessible route between the two villages.

This path will link people in Throsk to the wildlife sites located in Fallin such as Fallin Bing, Wester Moss and further west to Polmaise lagoons, which are all IFLI project sites too.

The path will be especially enjoyable to use as it will allow people to get exceptional views of the Ochils and surrounding Inner Forth landscape.

Update June 2015: This project was removed from the IFLI portfolio with agreement of the IFLI Board, because the route was included within a planning note of interest for the East of Fallin area.

The Local Development Plan supports the development of these paths, and the developer application reflects this. The Stirling Council Transport Development Team has responded to the planning application requiring the improvement of the Fallin to Throsk path be undertaken as part of the development.
